NORTH GREENBUSH

The Town of North Greenbush is located in the north western part of Rensselaer County, with a population of approximately 11,000. The immediate future of North Greenbush is dominated by the conversion of farmland to residential and commercial use. Communities surrounding North Greenbush include Defreestville, Snyders Corner, Wynantskill and Snyders Lake.

North Greenbush is home to the southern part of the Hudson Valley Community College, the Joseph Bruno Stadium, the LaSalle Institute and various Rensselaer County government institutions.

The construction of the Rensselaer Technology Park was an embryo for a significant path of development. Since 1983, thirteen buildings have been developed for high-technology based businesses serving both regional and international markets.
